Residents' Charter
The Residents living in Springhill Home have the right to:-
- Dignity; To respect by staff all beliefs and choices of lifestyle and in all circumstances.
- Kindness
- Privacy
- Confidentiality in all matters personal, medical, protection of interest, social and legal.
- Freedom of Choice, so far as is practicable
- Freedom of movement and activity, subject only to safety.
- A homely and safe environment.
- Feel and be treated as a valued member of the small community within the Home.
- Have visitors wherever and whenever wanted.
- Associate with others and build up relationships in the Home.
- Have spiritual, emotional and physical needs met and respected.
- A high standard of Nursing care, be provided with details of medical condition on request; To have a named Primary Nurse and named Associate Nurse and to choose own General Practitioner.
- Be consulted on all aspects of living in the Home, Nursing care and have the right to say no.
- Go to bed at chosen time and have a lie-in with option of breakfast in bed.
- Have free and easy access to the Matron and Proprietor and have complaints taken seriously and dealt with promptly and fully.
- Observation of socially acceptable behaviour in all public areas.
- Have the right to change their accommodation within the Home when circumstances allows it and be supported in the process by staff.
